So i have created a header on my word document. However, after I saved the document and reopened it, the header was gone. When I click on add header the words I typed are there but when I open the document they do not show. I dont know what to do. This thread is locked. Every time I set a header and footer space and save the newly created template and open a new doc based on it everything remains as set except the header and footer settings which go to zero.
Same happens when I open an existing MS template; I have to add the headers manually. I need to open lots of new docs using the normal template and have to always insert header and footer spaces manually,. Very tiresome. Fee;l more like a macro virus some where. Tried all update and renaming to old to allow creation of new normal template but same occurs again.
Reinstalled word but same again. Tried Norton scans, etc to nor avail. Thinking of reformatting drive as the macro-virus is hidden somewhere. Please advise if there is an alternative. I thought Closed the program, then re-opened it for others reading this, make sure you exit the program New default. I’m curious as to why this never was an issue on the windows version?
